VIRTUAL Poetry Reading

We were so disappointed to cancel our 27th Annual Gerard F. Melito Senior Citizens’ Poetry Reception due to the Covid-19 crisis. Many enjoy the afternoon event where our poets come together and share their poems. Our local library has many programs to stay connected with the community. They run various VIRTUAL events throughout the summer. We brought our Altrusa Senior Poets and Russell Library’s Technical Team together, and hosted a VIRTUAL poetry reading!
The librarians managed the poets on a ZOOM call, and our presentation went via Live-Feed to Facebook for all to enjoy! The poets were ecstatic and the event was a huge success!
